History
During the past 40+ years, GIWC has quietly undertaken more than 100 capital-intensive projects. Spread across the length and breadth of Ghana, these long-term projects have positively impacted many thousands of people.
Formed originally as a social club in 1980, with the aim of promoting the exchange of ideas between women of different nationalities living in Ghana, and to learn about one another’s cultures and traditions, GIWC has evolved over the years into a serious philanthropic organisation working tirelessly to help many disadvantaged individuals and communities.
During the past 40+ years, GIWC has quietly undertaken more than 100 capital-intensive projects. Spread across the length and breadth of Ghana, these long-term projects have positively impacted many thousands of people. The club has also made more than 200 welfare presentations providing short-term immediate relief to institutions and organisations in urgent need of medical supplies, educational materials, recreational items, foodstuffs and clothing.
